FINALLY: Lightricks just did the unthinkable.
They just shipped HDR generation for AI video.
Highlights hold. Shadows breathe. Footage finally grades.
Resolution was never the problem. Dynamic range was. https://x.com/hasantoxr/status/2048174314667790726/video/1

#### —
It's called LTX HDR and it generates directly in HDR or converts SDR to EXR.
No clipped highlights. No crushed shadows. No grading nightmare.
Two paths:
→ HDR generation via API (video-to-video)
→ Open-source SDR-to-HDR upgrade that converts existing 8-bit footage
Available via API, ComfyUI, and HuggingFace.

#### —
@ltx_model output is scene-linear EXR. Float16. ~20-bit effective range.
That's the format DaVinci Resolve, Nuke, Flame, and After Effects are actually built for.
Resolution isn't the bottleneck for pipeline-ready AI video.
Dynamic range is.
#### —
What this opens up:
→ AI footage that holds up in broadcast grading
→ Sits alongside 32-bit CGI and 3D renders without mismatch
→ Displays correctly on HDR LED volumes
→ Moves past previs-only into real finishing work
#### —
Worth being clear: this is a beta.
Ships as v0.9 on HuggingFace. Open source. Deployable on-premise.
Test it on your own footage before you commit it to a job. But the EXR output is real, and it loads into Resolve and Nuke the way you'd expect.
